Wireless data acquisition via WLAN

Following figure shows a wireless sensor network with any number of sensor nodes which collect data wirelessly and synchronously. Wireless data acquisition is carried out by our SN-X sensor, which can detect the data of up to three arbitrary sensors, or by our SN-I industrial sensor with integrated acceleration sensor. These two Elovis sensor types can also be used together.

WLAN data transmission

Via WLAN the data is transmitted synchronously and wirelessly to a wireless access point, which is connected to an evaluation unit for data analysis. By high wireless range up to 40 widely used sensor nodes can be scanned and recorded.

Why WLAN data transmission is so interesting for industry

The use of wlan data transmission in the industry is more interesting than ever. In industry, there are a variety of applications such as wlan data transmission of sensor data. Especially with moving or rotating machines, wlan data transmission is often the only way to get data from a machine. For industry interesting features are the support of large networks (up to 40 wlan nodes), the rapid activation of wlan communication and the ease of communication with standard devices. In addition to technical factors such as the wireless range and energy consumption the effort required for the integration, certification and also the dynamics of the relevant standards is important in wlan data transmission systems.
